Healing With Care

Cara never saw anything for her life beyond the farm she was born into. She didn't like life on the farm; it was hard work with very little payoff, but it was hers.

A human among many races, there was nothing for her outside the farm life, until something in the universe decided to upend her life. She had healing magic. Not the kind that many elves or any of the other races like gnomes or dwarves possessed.

Apparently, Cara was more special than that. She could bring things back from the dead. Not that she had tried to, and not that her skill was reliable. In fact, it only happened the one time, and she was sure it was a fluke. But none of that mattered because from the moment that baby lamb came back to life, her own was never the same.

Between the time her magic appeared and the time her story actually started, her farm home was destroyed by a dragon, she was taken in by an old elven wizard—who was killed and eaten by trolls—and she was caught up in an adventuring party as the only human in the group.

But still, she didn't feel like she belonged. And worse, when that party died violently in a goblin attack, Cara became convinced she was cursed.

Finally able to settle down on her own, she lived a peaceful life as a town healer for two years until yet another adventuring party courted her.

Stephen, the beautiful half-elf wizard, Flynn, the powerfully built minotaur druid, Jürgen, the stoic and overall large dragon paladin and Breck, the fun-loving hobgoblin barbarian, came into her life like a stampeding ox herd.

They also brought danger and destruction as the village that Cara had claimed as her own was destroyed by a necromancer who had been hunting after the group.

With nothing left to lose, Cara joined the party—something that she swore never to do again—to avenge the town that had almost accepted her as one of their own, as well as to save her new friends.

But besides the dangers they faced from their necromancer foe, she slowly realized that she had feelings for the males in turn.

Can they navigate saving the world from evil and saving themselves from destruction from within the group?
